F&A Supremo Commends EuroMatch Group For Investing in Nigeria Top Flight League
The Chief Executive Officer of F&A Sporting Management, H.E. Prince Fred Akhigbe, has commended Euromatch Ltd for fulfilling its promise by investing in the Nigeria Premier Football League after years without a title sponsor.
Following extensive engagements with Euromatch executives, F&A Sporting Management facilitated a $7.5 million, three-year deal that secured a title sponsor for the NPFL.
Under the agreement, Euromatch Group has entered into a three-year partnership with Nigeria’s top-flight league. From the 2026/27 season, the competition will be branded as the "Euromatch NPFL". The Euromatch brand will also feature on club jerseys, in stadiums, and across match broadcast graphics.
Days before the kickoff of the 2026/2027 NPFL season, Euromatch and the NPFL formalized the deal and unveiled Euromatch as the official title sponsor at an elaborate ceremony held at the Abuja Continental Hotel. The event was attended by top stakeholders in Nigerian football and the Chairman of Euromatch.
Speaking to _woosportsnews.com_ from Florence, Italy, the CEO of F&A Sporting Management, Prince Fred Akhigbe, said:
"This is a landmark moment for the NPFL. I commend the Chairman of Euromatch for believing in the league and in Nigerian football as a whole. After many years, the NPFL now has a title sponsor, and this marks the beginning of a new era."
"The NPFL is a premium brand with the capacity to attract major sponsors when managed professionally. Euromatch has kept its word to Nigerians, and I am confident they will deliver on this partnership."
Also speaking, Utku Sarper, CEO of Euromatch Group, said:
"When entering a new market, we listen first and then take action. That is how we came to understand what this league means to Nigerians. This is just the beginning. Every big journey starts with one step."
Nigeria is the first market where Euromatch Group has established such direct, long-term collaboration with the local sports community. Beyond digital products, the company is embedding itself in a core part of the country’s sports ecosystem. The sponsorship covers the top football league in a nation of over 240 million people.
Sam Sacli, President of Euromatch Group, added:
"You don’t put your name on a league just for a photo opportunity. You do it because you intend to stay and help build what it is becoming."
The league’s new visual identity; a crest in Nigeria’s national colors featuring a distinct eagle and football, alongside the Euromatch name took effect from Matchday One of the 2026/27 season. Matchday Two of the Euromatch NPFL will be played across the country this coming weekend.
