Pro- Wrestling Africa Elect New Executives .. As newly elected President promises new dawn for the sports



Pro- Wrestling Africa, ( PWA), the body charged with developing professional wrestling in all the nooks and crannies of the continent has elected new executives to run the affairs of the association for the next four years.


The election organized on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at the Conference  Hall of the National Institute For Sports( NIS), National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on May, 2nd, 2026 was held shortly after a successful Annual General Meeting held to take stock of the activities of the body.

Prior to the election, the outgoing President, Botswanian Dr. Sharp
Moabi, whose two term tenure ended on February 10, 2026, declined to go for a third term, having relocated to the United States.
The electoral committee initially received five applications from Cameroon, Benin Republic, South Africa, Egypt, and Togo, but after scree no ing, the committee recommended only candidates from Cameroon and Benin Republic to participate in the election for the post of president.

In the election, that followed, Commodore Emmanuel Ndo of Cameroon emerged as the new president while Mayor Mayor Sourou Germain Wanvoegbe of Benin Republic was elected 1st Vice President  just as the position of the 2nd Vice 
President, went to Mohamed Amadel of Morocco  with Nigerians Olusesan Olukoya, retaining his position as Secretary General.

The position of Assistant Secretary General was won by Naa Christiana Merley Ashley  of Ghana, with 
Ali Orou Sourou Abdel-Aziz of  Benin Republic elected as Social Director 1 

Also elected are ; Bing Ifefo  of Democratic Republic of Congo as Social Director 2, Habib 
Adams of Togo as Finance Director, Belgium based, 
Simba Bafuka Shaolin Master, emerged as Technical Director 1. Augustine Okafor a k.a .r. Sharp Man of Nigeria  will serve as Technical Director 2.

The post of Public Relations Officer,  was won by Ameku Philip Elikem of Ghana, just as a veteran journalist 
Ifeanyi Eduzor of Nigeria emerged as the Media Director.
Prior to the election, the statutes of the African Wrestling Confederation were read aloud, after which, each candidate was told to present their past achievements and future aspirations.
In his acceptance speech, Commodore Ndo thanked all the delegates for conducting themselves well throughout the election.
He promised that his target will be to ensure that the mats man game is further developed in the continent to be at par with what is happening in wrestling in Europe and America.
" I want to commend the Local Organizing Committee and all those involved in making sure that this election was free and fair.
" I equally want to appreciate all those that voted for me and to assure them that they never made any mistake chosing me as the leader of this great body.

" What I can assure wrestling fans is that, my tenure will usher in  a new beginning for African wrestling. I and members of my executive will work harmoniously as a team to ensure the sport is taken to a higher pedestal.

Delegates from 20 African countries participated in the Annual General Meeting and the election
