NLO, Redemption City tourney: Best Talent FC Hit double in remarkable Wins
Best Talent Football Club of Mowe delivered another double header victories with a statement of quality and squad depth on Saturday, ,2nd May, 2026, with impressive victories across separate competitions.
While the Integrity side spanked Bajulaye FC 1-0 in the Redemption City Football Tournament, a 2-0 demolition of Patriot FC in the Nationwide League(NLO) craker was an icing on the cake in the two separate competitions.
The Adeyinka Adeyemo's technical team deployed the boys for the tournament with a caveat to gun for victories, and the scorelines ignited Coach Farouk Yusuf’s lads.
With the tight rescheduled fixtures rolled out last on Friday by the Nationwide League One on the venue occupied by the U20 Falconets in Ikenne, the Redemption City cracker held at the Legacy pitch while the third tier league clash against the well coordinated Patriot FC took place at MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State respectively.
In the early kickoff, Best Talent demonstrated resilience and mental strength, grinding out a narrow win over Bajulaye FC with a goal from Femi while Abdullahi got a brace for Mowe giants in the Nationwide League One at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto,Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Their ability to maintain structure and composure under pressure highlighted a growing maturity within the squad. The fans were entertained with explosive attacking display, netting 11 unreplied goals in the last three matches in the league. The clean sheet is kept in the two tournaments with 18 points spread over the two competitions makes the Best Talent Football Club a team with untainted nack for victories.
As it stands, the results thus echoed their previous dominant outing in December 2025, when they overwhelmed Browl FA of Lagos 6-0, with Basauye notably scoring four goals in that encounter.
Speaking after the matches, Coach Farouk Yusuf lauded his boys for showing character and resilience to get the desired results even when the squad was splitted with largely under 18 boys. The former Coca-Cola coach emphasized humility and focus as key to sustaining momentum.
“It is double victories today just like we did on 18th April 2026 when we defeated H2U and Dove FC. Last week was the turn of Customs FC, with 2-0. To God God the glory and appreciate the boys for their effort. This result is a confidence booster, but we won’t get carried away. There are more battles ahead,” he said.
The double-header triumph not only boosts their early season credentials but also sends a clear message: Best Talent FC are building a squad capable of competing—and excelling—on multiple fronts.
By successfully navigating two distinct challenges in a single day, the club has demonstrated tactical flexibility and physical endurance. These back-to-back victories provide a perfect foundation for the long season ahead.
