FOAOOS Chairman, Adebiyi Greets Muslim Faithful Happy Eid-Fitr Celebration

As the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr is celebrated across the world, the Chairman, Forum of Administrative Officers in the Civil Service of Oyo State, FOAOOS, Mrs Adebiyi Olajumoke Aramide, has extended warm greetings and best wishes to all Muslim faithful in the state Civil Service and the nation at large.


In her goodwill message, the Forum helmsman described Eid-al-Fitr as a significant moment of spiritual renewal, marking the successful completion of Ramadan, a period dedicated to fasting, prayer, sacrifice, and reflection of reaching out to the needy in the society. 

She commended the state workforce , particularly those in elitist cadre, for their discipline, commitment, and perseverance throughout the holy month, noting that these virtues reflect not only religious devotion but also the core values that divine Godliness in Islam tenets.

“I wish to congratulate our Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el- Fitri celebration. This is a season that reminds us of the importance of Godliness, compassion, and unity, which define us as diligent and a dedicated workforce in the state” 


The Chairman emphasized the need for the Forum to remains steadfast in its mission to promote diligence, excellence, and real time service delivery at their various desks, imploring everyone to align themselves with the virtues that foster peace, mutual respect, and collective progress in the state.


The Director of Admin and Supplies, Office of the Accountant-General encouraged members to use the festive period as an opportunity to strengthen bonds, kindness to others, and remain committed to the goals and aspirations of the present administration in the state.

“May this Eid bring joy, peace, and abundant blessings to every home. May Allah accept our sacrifices and reward us with greater achievements.”. She prayed.

Three referees in Nigeria have been sanctioned for offences related to  improper handling of matches assigned to them.  In week 8 matches of the NPFL, three of the referees who handled two different matches have been suspended indefinitely by the NFF Referees Committee.  While Mohammed B Tuta of Adamawa and Benue's Ben Japhet, Referee and Assistant Referee 1, respectively of the Kano Pillars vs Shooting Stars game were punished for what the NFF Referees Committee accused them of "acting in manners outside the provisions of the laws of the game and brings the game into disrepute", the letter signed by the  Committee secretary, Ameenu Mohammed indicated that the Nassarawa against Rangers referee, Ikechukwu Taiwo of Rivers State was sanctioned for awarding "unjustified penalty" awarded. The three referees were suspended indefinitely.

War Against Poor Officiating in NPFL intensifies as NFF suspends Centre referee, Usman, Assessor indefinitely.

It appears that the present board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and NPFL are stamping out their zero tolerance to poor officiating as a centre referee, Ishaya Usman from Gombe State and the match assessor have been suspended indefinitely from all football matches. According to a statement signed by Mohammed Ameenu on behalf of the Chairman, NFF Refereeing Development Committee, the suspended referee will no longer officiate any match until further notice. The statement blamed the referee for ignoring a glaring penalty situation that adversely affected the outcome of the match between Kano Pillars and Abia Warriors on January 19, 2026. "Such an action was adjudged not in line with the provisions the Laws of the Game," the statement added. By: Sunday Agunbiade (Mr VAR) It was a show of shame and animalistic behaviour at the Aba Township Stadium on Sunday in a match Day 30 of Nigeria Premier Football League between Enyimba Football Club and Plateau United as Sporting Director of People's Elephants, Daniel Eke allegedly  battered the face of the club's Head Coach, Emmanuel Deutsche. The two time CAF Champions League holders defeated their visitors 2-0 but it appeared that the result did not go down well with the Sporting Director due to the fact that the coach did not yield to his substitution directives during the first half of the match. At the first half, our correspondent scooped that the Sporting Director at the end of the first half pushed the coach and followed him inside the dressing room and then punched him.
