Abuja is set to witness a historic football spectacle as the Attom Foundation, in partnership with ZMB Homes and WGI, brings together Barça Legends and the African Legends in a charity match dedicated to raising awareness for the empowerment of the girl child.

The highly anticipated game will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. (16:00 H CEST).

The Barça Legends will parade global stars including Ronaldinho, Ludovic Giuly, Javier Saviola, Jesús Angoy, Samuel Okunowo, Marc Valiente, and Fernando Navarro.

On the opposing side, the African Legends will showcase the brilliance of some of the continent’s greatest football heroes, led by Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Alex Song, and Mark Fish, with more names expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The event promises to be more than just a football match. It will be a celebration of sport, unity, and purpose, with proceeds directed towards initiatives that support and empower the girl child.

Fans will not only relive the magic of their favorite stars on the field but will also have the chance to interact with them off it, as a series of side attractions and engagements are planned to complement the main event.

Speaking on the significance of the match, the Attom Foundation emphasized that football’s global appeal makes it a powerful tool for advocacy and social impact. By bringing together celebrated figures of the game, the foundation seeks to inspire change and highlight the urgent need to invest in the future of young girls across Africa.

The October showdown in Abuja is expected to draw a large crowd of football enthusiasts, dignitaries, and development partners, all uniting under one cause. With excitement building ahead of the encounter, the city of Abuja is preparing to host an unforgettable experience that blends entertainment with philanthropy.

Football lovers and philanthropists alike will have the rare opportunity to see some of the world’s most iconic players grace the pitch once more live in Nigeria.
