Oyo Admin Forum Swears in New Excos, Holds Sendforth Party for Retirees as Adebiyi Takes over Baton from Maestro
Forum of Administrative Officers in the Civil Service of Oyo State, on Wednesday elected and sworn in13 new executive members to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.
According to the Forum's new Public Relations Officer, Sunday Agunbiade(Mr VAR) in a press statement, the Executive Committee election which held on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025, marked a significant milestone in the group’s democratic journey and commitment to effective leadership.
He said the election witnessed a huge turnout of eligible members across MDAs, demonstrating the association’s vibrant internal democracy and the members’ dedication to its mission and vision.
Leading the pack and new Sherif in town of the Forum is digitalized Matriarch, Mrs. Aramide Olajumoke Adebiyi while the Vice Chairman is Mr Ayodeji Kehinde (Vintage).Mr Mashopa Idowu Ayodamola retains his position as General Secretary while Mr Akanmu Olusola Adeleke emerges Financial Secretary . Others are Mrs Olalere Comfort Ifeoluwa as Social Secretary, Mr I.O. Salisu and Lasisi Lukman retain their positions as Chip Whip and Auditor of the group respectively. Agunbiade Sunday Abiodun moves to the post of Publicity Secretary as Adeaga Funso Tunde elected as the new Treasurer. Ajibifoluwa Aderonke Abolanle and Mr Badmus Afeez Ayodeji are now Assistant Social Secretary and Assistant General Secretary in that order. Ex-Officio :are Mrs Florence Fatunmibi and Mrs Folasade Oluwatoyin Idowu.
The election was said to have been conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner, with the electoral committee receiving commendations for neutrality and professionalism throughout the screening and other electoral processes.
In hes acceptance speech, the newly elected Forum boss, Mrs Adebiyi Olajumoke thanked the Head of Service, Her Honour, Chief Mrs Olubunmi Olufunke Oni, mni, the immediate past Chairman, Mr Kayode Victor Muyiwa(Maestro) and members of the group for the confidence reposed in her, promising to bring experience, vision and integrity to bear in advancing the goals of the elite cadre
She therefore appealed to other excos and members to work together in unity and commitment to reposition the Forum and consolidate on the past gains achieved by the previous administration. She assured the group that Forum will be a force for progress and policy influence in the state.
Adebiyi specifically thanked the outgoing Chairman, Mr Kayode Victor Muyiwa(Maestro) and the executive for creditably overseeing the affairs of FAOOOS during his tenure, advancing the status of the group.
While the Election Committee headed by Pastor S.O.Oladimeji was commended for transparency, the newly elected executives are expected to commence work with strategic engagements, including the strengthening of partnerships with other professional bodies in terms of capacity building, digitalisation of service ,and actors in the state policy drive.
The Head of Service, Chief Mrs Olubunmi Olufunke Oni, mni, FCIPA in her keynote address ,charged the new Excos to engage in human Resource development drive and advised the Forum to seek knowledge in terns of digital skills and remains asset to the service of Oyo State and the nation at large. She said every government needs committed and digitally savvy officers to leverage on their expertise in driving state development. The HOS therefore called on senior Officers to Foster knowledge-sharing, and mentoring younger Officers.
Earlier, presentation of gifts to the retirees was done and their representative, Alhaji Salami thanked the Forum for remembering them. The outgone Chairman, Mr Victor Kayode was full of appreciation to the Head of Service, All Permanent Secretaries , Excos and the entire members for their support to drive the Forum forward.
