The Enugu State Government, through Commissioner for Youth and Sports Barr. Lloyd Ekweremadu, has pledged support for the 7th edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico Select Pre-Season Tournament. This commitment highlights the government's dedication to promoting sports development and nurturing talent within the state.


Barr. Ekweremadu disclosed this when he received the tournament CEO and Ex-International Ifeanyi Ekwueme in Enugu. During the meeting, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of such tournaments in fostering healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among teams.


The Ex-International, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, also presented the tournament's paraphernalia to the Commissioner, symbolizing the partnership between the tournament organizers and the state government.
