Super Falcons'Job: Coach Dan Kakwi Apologies to Joan Iwuchukwu after Media Fiasco
By: Sunday Agunbiade (Mr VAR)
One of the high flying media experts in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Joan Iwuchukwu has fired back on Coach Dan Kakwi for the unsolicited projection of her name for Super Falcons Job.
It would be recalled that the post of the Media Officer of the 9th time African champions had been vacant following the completion of term of the immediate handler, Tobe-chukwu popularly known as Tobexsports before the announcement of Mary Akinsola on Wednesday 24th June, 2025.
However, the Jos based coach turns hype man on his solitary sojourn went on media space to tip Joan for the job without express permission of the former member of Media Committee of National Sports Festival held in Delta state. The lady in her response on Thursday on *Sports World Platform* was awe of the development shouting on top of her voice against Coach Dan, asking her if they ever met or chatted. She used the medium to clarify herself against such projection claiming that she was in her village for Dad's burial and she was not prepared or interested for such task.
According to her on the popular WhatsApp group, she said:
"I am presently in my village burying my dad peacefully. When this came to my notice. Abeg ooh Joan Nnenna Iwuchukwu no want trouble, need any wahala. My easy life is sufficient for me. Please Uni Dan whatever u call yourself. I have never met u, neither have i have asked u to write this. No set me up oooh. Are you Ok?"
"Biko kwa this simple life i live is ok for me. I have never lobbied and will never lobby for any Job. Please. Drop it."
In swift reaction, Coach Dan Kakwi wrote.
"Noted. That write up I did about her was not her nor my initiative but I would do the needful".
The members of the platform went berserk against Coach Dan Kakwi for promoting such an innocent lady without her consent.
Someone who just lost her dad and busied for burial arrangements is facing this mental torture and here is the summary of the reactions made on the popular group:
"It's quite unfortunate that Coach Dan Kakwi could be writing this kind of job lobbying for Joan without her consent.
@Coach Uni Dan Kakwi , this lady can take you up for soiling her image by using her name to lobby for what she knew nothing about.
I will advise you write apology to her and share it across platforms so as to protect her image. I called Joan today about it and she almost cried saying she did not send you at all. She is her village for burial and quite unfortunate she didn't read it at all due to her busy schedule for the programme.
@Johan FCT Abuja, nobody will believe you until Coach Dan Kakwi disclaim his claim I beg".
Consequently, the said writer has publicly apologised to Joan and assured of her of better communication drive to avoid the repeat. According to the disclaimer written today, Friday, 27th June, 2025, it says:
"Disclaimer:
Following a previously published article by @Coach Uni Dan Kakwi, which tagged @joan5002 (Joan Iwuchukwu )as a prospective candidate for the then-vacant Super Falcons vacant media officer position (a role that has since been filled), I wish to clarify the following👇👇:
*The inclusion of Joan Iwuchukwu’s name in the article was not based on any direct or confirmed knowledge of her candidacy* .
Rather, it was influenced by a group with the intention of projecting her for the role.
This clarification is necessary to ensure accurate understanding of the context and motivation behind the original write-up.
*Apologies to Joan iwuchukwu* 💗🙏@joan5002
@Coach Uni Dan Kakwi"
He pleaded.
