Isah Mohammed's Debut Goal not Enough to Rescue Away Points for Enyimba



Enyimba's valiant effort was not enough to secure a point as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Akwa United in their NPFL Matchday 23 encounter decided at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.


New signing Isah Mohammed made an instant impact, scoring a sublime equalizer to draw Enyimba level after Akwa United's contentious opening goal.

The 19-year-old sensation, scouted by Enyimba's Sporting Director, has already proven himself to be a revelation in the league.

Mohammed's impressive debut against Lobi Stars, where Enyimba claimed vital three points, was followed by another stunning performance against Akwa United. However, his goal was not enough to salvage a point for the People's Elephant.

Enyimba are still 8th on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 31 points amassed from 22 games.

Burna Boy floats Football Academy

Nigerian singer and Grammy Award winner Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has launched a football academy with training centres in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
