Second-Tier Leagues Are the Most Difficult Globally" - Coach Gabriel Ezema

Ezema Gabriel, Head Coach of Inter-Lagos Football Club, has described the Nigeria National League and second-tier leagues worldwide as the most challenging.

During a question-and-answer session tagged 'Super Interview ' on Sports World Platform, hosted by Wale Oyekanmi and Sunday Agunbiade on Friday night, Coach Gabriel explained:

"Second-tier leagues worldwide are notoriously difficult to navigate. As a coach in the Nigeria National League, I can attest to the numerous challenges we face. Financial difficulties, diverse player demographics, and varying skill levels are just a few obstacles."

A former assistant coach at Rangers International FC, Coach Gabriel added:

"The league's abridged format makes it even more demanding. Every team fights for a spot, and each match is a battle for survival. The competitiveness is intense, with every team eager to prove themselves worthy of promotion to the Premier League."

Coach Gabriel concluded:

"This is why I believe second-tier leagues globally, including England's Championship, are the most challenging.

The Nigeria National League clubs will resume action in January after the yuletide break.
