Monday Gideon, Akpan Joshua end goal drought



Monday Gideon and Akpan Joshua finally opened their goal account in the 2024/25 season of the NFPL.



Both players hit the target to help Shooting Stars beat Akwa United in Sunday's Matchday nine fixture in Ibadan.

Gideon scored five goals and provided two assists in last season's campaign.

For Joshua, Sunday's strike brought to an end, a long time goal drought, having failed to find the back of the net throughout last season.

The former Abia Comets star provided two assists last season.
