Its a fista of new beginning for young talented footballers as Yoshi Football Academy was Saturday 5th October,2024 unveiled in Nigeria's capital City, Abuja.



The unveiling which was done at instance of enthusiastic and young  talented footballers with their parents and stakeholders alik also have the respected (retired) Fifa referee and former head of management studies, National Institute of sports,Lagos(NIS) Dr.Alex Mana as he flagged off m the Academy at the Famous Astro Turf Wuse zone 5.


The barton had been passed on from coach Marcello Anyanwu ,Yoshi football Academy Sporting Director  Dubai to the founder & chief Executive officer Yoshi FA ,coach Ahmad Geidam before handing it to the Yoshi football Academy Abuja ,team Manager.Halilu Abumahamud who in turn gave Dr.Alex the Special guest of honour to finally unveil the much awaited birth of the newest  Academy in Nigeria.


Declaring open the Yoshi Academy ,Dr Alex Mana said "It is a brand new revelation of our time in Nigeria and according to him, Yoshi deserves a huge part on their back as they have come with an innovation that is revealing in terms of his versatility in rudiments of grassroots development of the game,mixed with education and modern technicalities of the game .

He therefore used the occasion to admonish parents to take great interest in helping their children realize their dreams.

On his part ,Barrister Austel Elumelu, former member of the Nigeria Football Federation (technical department) said Yoshi coming into the fray is one for others to emulate "People must learn to plough back into the game of football as it has the capacity to harness from the cradle. The  future of football lies in the kids.


Barrister Elumelu who at various times served as team manager of Nigeria's under 17 and 23 applauded Yoshi for taking what he described as wise decision . He said :"You have not only shown interest in catching them young ,you also demonstrated high level of interest in the game  by investing heavily on modern equipments.

Speaking to the parents and players, Marcello Anyanwu, sporting Director of Yoshi Academy Dubai Said: The Academy will provide world class coaching, International camps Abroad and clear pathways to  professional football career.

He called on all football stakeholders in Nigeria to join hands with Yoshi football Academy Abuja to build future champions '

Yoshi founder,Ahmad Geidam on his part the need to identify and breach the gap in grassroots development of the game has caused in investment and interest .

"We are not just interested in investing in an academy  but we are also concerned more about enhancing and developing the raw talents. Its from nothing so something and we thus go beyond talents .At Yoshi, it is a wholetistic approach ,mental health coaching,to enable the players overcome   confidence issues.
We also have Nitritionist as coaches and so on ."

He added: "We are not scouts ,we are developers  and our aim is to build foundations to enable us discover more Jay jay Okochas ,Kanu Nwankwo and Victor Osimhen etc.

The first open day of Yoshi Academy held Saturday 5th October ,2024 registering over 100 young football of under 18 years .

The Yoshi Academy which is exact replica with the one established in Dubai (UAE) will train every Tuesday ,Saturday and Sunday .
