StartRite Wins Yoshi Dubai - Abuja Primary Schools Tournament

It was a week of fun, excitement and keen rivalry among 8 Primary Schools in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as StartRite Wins Yoshi UAE  Primary School Football Tournament.


The first leg concluded at the weekend at the 6Astro turf field Wuse Zone 5 as Mshelia Bilal of Start Rite School emerged highest goal scorer with 10 goals where they defeated Raberto School 5-0 in the finals and went unbeaten in all five matches.


The 8 teams which were grouped into 2 recorded following results in the first leg

Group A. 
Olumawo 1-2 Great Heights 
Starfield 5- 3 Voyage 
Olumawo 1-1 Starfield 
Great Heights 0-2 Voyage
Voyage 1-0 Olumawo
Starfield 0-0 Great Heights.

The second leg will be for Junior secondary schools this Saturday .


The tournament coordinator &  the academy sporting director coach Marcello Anyanwu said, ”I am an advocate of grassroot football, I have been in Dubai for 11 years working and I have contributed to football grassroot development locally too. I am supporting this tournament because we want to see what we can do at the grassroot level, that’s why I am giving him all my full support.”

”We are here to bring progress to the grassroot and to our country Nigeria; he added 


The former NFF presidential Aspirant appeal to government to grant tax waiver to any private school that build sports complex, facilities or mini stadium in the schoolcountry Nigeria”; he concluded.
