2024/2025 Total Energies: CAF Insists June 30 As Regulatory Engagement Date

Contrary to insinuations and rumours making the round that the Confederation of African Football, CAF has fixed June 15, 2024 as the Registration deadline for the registration of participating clubs for TotalEnergies 2024/2025 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, the Continental regulatory body has fixed June 30th, 2024 for the registration exercise, varsportnow.blogspot.com exclusively gathers
The information was contained in a memo dated 2nd June, 2024 and forwarded to the 12 highest ranked national associations according to CAF's rankings who are allowed to engage two(2) teams each in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2024/2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
Signed by the CAF's Director of Tournament and Events, Adamu Samson, the memo noted that Nigeria is part of the 12 highly ranked teams that will present 4 teams for the continental showpiece.
The Circular which was made available to Varsportnow.blogspot.com reads in part: "In the Framework of the Organization of CAF Interclubs competition for the 2024/2025 Season, we hereby inform you that the engagement will be opened on the competition management system of CAF (CMS), we take the opportunity to remind you of the regulatory engagement deadline 30th June, 2024. We kindly request you to register your clubs on the CMS in accordance with the regulations of both competition. The standings of the local league and the ranking of the national clubs must be uploaded on CMS".
The 12 teams to feature two teams each in the TotalEnergies Champions League Confederation Cup are as follows:
Algeria, Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Libya , Morocco, Nigeria, DR Congo, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia and Tanzania.
Rangers FC, Enyimba, Remo, Shooting Stars and Lobi Stars are in the fore front of the continental parties as the eventual League Champions and Runners up will represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League while team that came third on the log will join a winner of President Federation Cup in the CAF Confederation
