... Calls for Stakeholders to beam Searchlights and monitor the Last Day Fixtures on Monday
By: Sunday Agunbiade Mr VAR
The ongoing Nationwide League One taking place at Ebedei Stadium, Shagamu Ogun State has been described as Charade, broad day robbery and a waste of time and resources by the poor officiating orchestrated by the members of the Ogun State Referee Council .
The coach of Dino Sporting Football Club expressed disappointment shortly after his goals were disallowed against Customs FC by the match arbiters. According to astute coach, he said:
"The Level of Officiating at the Sagamu Centre for this year NLO1 2024 is overwhelmingly embarrassing.
"Sometimes, I wonder if it's worth putting the young players through the stress of running 90 minutes on the pitch, all for nothing
"For the good of the game, it will only be fair to say if there is to be growth there must be a level ground to compete
And if it means anything to these referees at all. I don't see why they have become a Menace to Ogun State Football.
"These referees have become cancerous to Ogun State Football and if nothing is done by the F.A about this it just a matter of time before the inevitable happens beyond repair "
I hereby write to my fellow club owners and administrators and most importantly, the Ogun State F.A chairman to look into this matter seriously as we approach the final day tomorrow, Monday 6th May, 2024."
"I see this all the time. Year after year. "The broad day light robbery," but for how long will these persist, how long will you referees live withhout your conscience?
As it is now, all roads lead to Ebedei Stadium, Shagamu, Ogun State tomorrow, Monday 6th May, 2024 to monitor all the final matches with electronic gadgets and expose any official constitutes him/herself to bring the league to disrepute.
