2024 NLO Season: Adamimogo, 6 Others Set for fierce battle in Akure

Ahead of the 2024 NLO Division One League Season, Adamimogo Football Club of Akure will open campaign against Emmalex FC, Owo on Monday 20th April, 2024 at Akure Township, Ondo State by 10am


According to the release made available to newsmen by the Secretariat of the third tier league, Seven teams in total are grouped in Akure Centre and will file out against each others at Akure Township stadium beginning from Monday, 20th April, 2024

The group comprises Adamimogo FC, Emmalex FC, Osopadec FC, Able God FC, Olukismet FC. Others are Agbana Wonderful and Choice FC. 


The coach of the Silver winning in the just concluded Preseason tournament organized by Oyo FA , Adamimogo FC, Alhassan Dosso said his team will put up a better performance this season to move a step better than last season. He then expressed optimism that qualifying to the Play off last season has given them a catalyst to achieving more strides this year. In his words:

"We anticipate a better performance this upcoming football League season and you would recall that we made it to the play off last season losing NNL ticket to Osun United and this season, we have our eyes set on the promotion ticket"


 Corroborating him, the captain of the side, Damilare assured that it's time for the Akure based outfit to make it to the Most Important League, NNL. He said: "I think we are ripe enough to ply our trade in the second tier of Nigerian league and the time has come this year". Damilare submitted

The team anchor, Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo noted that, the team is well motivated by the club founder, Prophet Sam Olu Alo.

The 2024 NLO season is expected to kick off on Saturday, April 13 , 2024 and over153 teams are lined up to participate in the new NLO season.
