Chairman Nigeria National League, NNL, Mr George Aluo has commended the President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau over prompt payments of Referee Indemnities.

The erudite Journalist who expressed deep appreciation to the NFF helmsman while fielding questions in a popular WhatsApp group, Sports World Platform on Monday co hosted by Ibadan based journalist, *Sunday Agunbiade (Mr VAR)* and Lagos based sports journalist, *Wale Oye* on noted that the second tier league does not have a burden bearer unlike the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL which has GTI saddled with the responsibility of paying referees Indemnities.

According to the Imo State born Football administrator, Aluo appreciated the NFF helmsman, Musa Gusau for his vision in ensuring Nigeria Referees perform optimally at the Most Important League to avoid the hitherto cash and carry league winners. Take for instance, GTI is in charge of Referees Indemnities in NPFL, that takes a whole lot of burden off NPFL. But for us in NNL, we do not have anybody taking this burden off us and that is why we are appealing to Nigerians to come and support us".

The Lagos based administrator added that: "However, even with the meagre resources we have , we have been able to ensure that the Referees Indemnities are paid. The only credit for all of this goes to the President of Nigeria Football Federation,  Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau who like I said has supported us in every way to ensure that referees Indemnities are taken care of".

" So I'm appealing to corporate Nigerians to do the same thing that the GTI is doing to NPFL. If not the GTI, NPFL would have been struggling. Football is a business and we can only invest in it to thrive. We are not asking for too much". He concluded
