Corporate Bodies Are Not Doing Enough on Sports Development in Nigeria.... Hon Nse Udofot Essien

The corporate bodies have been charged to be involved in the development of football and sports generally in Nigeria.
Board Members of Nigeria Football Federation representing South South region, Hon. Nse Udobot Essien gave the charged while speaking on the Super Interview on the Sports World WhatsApp platform on Saturday, 17th February 2024.
Hon. Nse Udobot Essien, said that government can not do it alone when it comes to the development of sports in Nigeria.
Hon. Nse cited on what the corporate bodies did for Angola national team during the just concluded AFCON in Ivory Coast, with number of multinationals involved with a lot of promises.
"Look at what happened during the AFCON, look at what they did for the Angola national team, you can imagine, the number of multinationals that were involved, there promises, they actively involved" Hon. Nse said.
He stressed that IOC are not doing enough with the money at their disposal in terms of corporate social responsibility, imploring them to be actively involved in sports development in Nigeria.
Hon. Nse however called on the individuals and corporate bodies who are well to do to also come to sports development, adding that it's important for Nigeria to get the desire right with their involvement, contributions and inputs.
Hon. Nse Udobot Essien, said the way forward is for them to plug back into the society of what the society has given to them through social responsibility.
