2024 Oyo FA Cup Draws: Shooting Stars, Crown on Stand bye

The Oyo State Football Association ably led by its Chairman, Oba Alakinyele of Akinyele, HRM James Odeniran today held draws for the oldest football competition in the land , popularly known as Federation cup .




The draw which took place at Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan at 12 noon had in attendance the representatives of the participating teams

In his opening remarks, the  South West Referee Coordinator who doubles as Chairman Oyo State Football Association, Oba Odeniran noted that the State government, NFCA and well meaning individuals have expressed readiness to support the competition and make this yea Federation's cup worthwhile, while the Secretary of the State Football Association who doubles as National State Football Association Secretaries Chairman, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo reeled out rules and regulations guiding the smooth conduct of the tournament. He pointed out that the competition is going to be on knock out basis stressing the need for the team managers to prepare their teams well enough for the much anticipated tournament. Ojelowo further emphasized that the body has no preference for any club saying that the tournament is known for its surprises springing tendency from the year immemorial 




The body noted that 11 male teams and one female team met the registration requirements in line with the NFF registration procedures and they will be allowed to participate in the 2024 edition of the tournament.




The date for the commencement of this year edition of Federation cup is yet to be announced to avoid fixture clash for some league's clubs domiciled in the state

2) Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho 

3) Sult De King (SDK) Football Club of Ibadan 

4) Liberty United Football Club of Ibadan 

5) Achievers Football Academy, Ibadan 

6) Ilaji Football Club, Ibadan 

7) Saki United Football Academy, Saki.

8) Adeyemi Football Club, Ibadan 

9) Oyo State Housing Corporation, OYSHC, Football , Ibadan.

10) Iseyin United Football Club, Iseyin

11) TYJ Football Academy, Ibadan. 

Female

(1) Sult De Queens  (SDQ) Football Club, Ibadan. 


Other Board members in attendance are :Alhaji Amzart Azeez, Mr Oladeni Michael, Former Oyo State Sports Council, Honourable Gbenga Adewusi(Arole),  former Super Eagles forward, Mutiu Adepoju (the Headmaster), the immediate Past General Manager of Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde

New Dawn as Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State Chapter Supports Delivery of Women’s football Development Initiatives, WFDI Project
