2023 AFCON: CAF Named FFCN President, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa Fan of The Match Again...Dedicates the Award to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

 Confederation of African Football, CAF on Monday in the ongoing 34th edition of African Cup of Nations,  AFCON, between Nigeria and Guinea Bissau awarded the Fan of the match award to the National President of Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa.


 Mama Nigeria, as Ogunfuwa is fondly called was announced by CAF shortly after Nigeria defeated Guinea Bissau 1-0 and snatched a ticket to the round of 16 of the continental showpiece 

 It would be recalled that the former member of Women Committee of Lagos State Football Association won the Award in the year 2018 during AWCON final in Ghana between Nigeria's Super Falcons and Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon.


 The graduate of University of Lagos, was exceptionally attractive at the match venue as she stood out throughout the game with her unique costume.

Speaking after receiving the award, the first African woman to lead Supporters Club said: "On behalf of the entire members and Executives of Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, I want to specially appreciate the CAF for this recognition. I was not the only person at the stands for side attraction but they have shown to me that hard work pays. In fact, this  award is for Nigeria and I therefore dedicate it to President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu". She enthusiastically submitted 



 "This award no doubt is a divine arrangement to compensate my trying periods .Truly and surely when God is with you, nobody can be against you.I also wish to appreciate my ever supporting members for their exceptional display and perseverance to make this award a reality " Kemi concluded.
