"We Will Run Crown Fc Like A Professional Club" - General Manager
The newly appointed General Manager of Crown Fc, Mr Olamide “Ortega” Ilupeju vowed to bring the ogbomoso based club to an enviable sporting height during a recent interview on Brave 91.1 FM’s sports program, Lori Odan anchored by Ololade Agboola (Woli Sports)
Olamide expressed his complete displeasure over the current state of the club’s administration as well as performances which he is committed to change through his solid project.
He also promised to make the players and staffs’ welfarism the focal point of his administration as well as making Crown FC a professional football club that will be a model to others.
“I promise not to owe any players and staff in my tenure and I will turn Crown FC into a professional club worthy of emulation “ he said.
Having worked with various administration and technical positions in some NPFL clubs like Enyimba FC, Rivers United and Sunshine stars, Mr Olamide vowed to use his wide range of experiences and expertise to ensure proper contract handing of all players and build a very enticing football academy which will be open to all players in Ogbomoso and its environs.
When being questioned about how he will work with his team members, he said there will be no need to sack anyone and he will be more than ready to work with everyone so far they are loyal and committed to his administration.
“I will work with everyone I meet in the team and even with all past GMs of Crown FC including stakeholders” Mr Olamide said.
He also clearly stated that the aim this current season is to ensure the promotion of the team to the top flight as well as working with the Oyo state governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde to rebuild the Soun Stadium to NPFL standard.
Being a son of the soil , Mr Olamide promised to give opportunities to grassroots players through football competitions across all five local governments in Ogbomoso to discover more talents. He also mentioned that the club will produce more players for the national team, citing Kunle Odunlami and Godfrey Obaobona as examples of players he brought to the national team.
