Startimes sponsorship Deal: NPFL Clubs Will Receive their Share next Week... Elegbeleye

Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League, Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye has disclosed that twenty (20) NPFL Clubs participating in the topmost League  will get their national cake next week. 


Elegbeleye made this known on Friday while featuring in an online weekly interview on a leading WhatsApp group in Nigeria, *Sports World Platform* . He stated that the League body is set to hold a meeting with club Chairmen in Abuja next week and from there they would decide the sharing formula on the percentage meant for the participating clubs.


The former Director General of National Sports Commission while speaking with Ibadan based Sports pundit, *Sunday Agunbiade Mr VAR* and vastly experienced Abuja based reporter, Mohammed Saliu fondly called Mosaliu harped on transparency and security in the administration of the apex league so as to attract more sponsors. The Ondo born Football administrator then clarified that the club Chairmen have a percentage of the sponsorship deal and they will be the one to decide the sharing formula at their next meeting in.Abuja next week .

Responding to the duo, Elegbeleye revealed that;

"We are having a meeting next week with all the club Chairmen in Abuja and from there, everybody will know what due to them as we have percentage agreement to what goes to club on percentage basis and this will be discussed at the meeting next week. My words of assurance is that everybody will get their share a day or two after the meeting next week" . The nation's top football manager concluded 


According to question asked by one of the active members of the group, Austino;
"When is NPFL clubs expect to get their share of the cake from the Startimes - NPFL deal? And is the NPFL going to monitor or instruct the NPFL clubs on how they should spend such funds?
