We are aiming for Olympics- Oyo netball Chairperson

The Chairperson of Oyo state Netball Association Ambassador Romoke Ayinde has said that her aim is to take Nigeria’s netball to the forthcoming Olympics games in Paris, France. 


Speaking about the forthcoming unveiling of netball games in Ibadan on October 18, this year which incidentally is her birthday, Ambassador Ayinde who is also the CEO of KAYROM LEE Gymn and Fitness Center explained that she intends to create the necessary awareness that will take the game to girls in various secondary schools in Oyo state adding that this will follow the unveiling of the game abandoned since 1973 on October 18 and organizing an annual competition which would further integrate netball game into the fabrics of Nigeria’ society.
She noted that already she had embarked on publicity that will   create the necessary awareness positing that this would be done through press conferences that would include the print and the electronic media besides the flyers that would further compliment what would come from the media.
Ambassador Ayinde informed that efforts are on to bring the state government on the same page as the National Netball Federation (NNF)  had already written the state government while it had delivered equipment that would enhance the growth and development of the game.
In this vein, she disclosed that no fewer than 120 secondary schools have been invited for  the unveiling and the competition that would commence later.
