The new Chairman of Enyimba Int'l FC of Aba, Kanu 'Papilo' Nwankwo "FIFA Ambassador" has debunked the report making rounds of his complain about the alleged empty treasury of Enyimba FC when he took over affairs of the 9 times NPFL Champions.
The Former Ajax, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Portsmouth FC striker who was recently appointed by the Abia State Government to manage the affairs of the 2 times CAF Champions League winners frowned at the claims of one Mr Vincent Akinbami who in the reports alleged that the FIFA Ambassador recently made an outburst on the alleged empty treasury of the team.
"I think this is way over board for people to write and allege what is not true just to make a news.
"Since my resumption of duty as Enyimba Chairman, I haven't made any press statement on such issue, so I don't see why someone should be alleging what I didn't say just to create confusion.
"Since my take over, we have been occupied by ensuring that the team is ready for the CAF Champions League, the NPFL and other competitions.
"Right now, we are working on the welfare of our players and their preparations and at the right time through the right channel we will make our stand known on various issues.
"The report is indeed malicious and defaming and we urge these detractors to retrace their actions as it can't distract our focus on the mission for success.
