2023 Oyo FA Elective Congress : Oba James Odeniran retains Chairmanship Seat, assures Paradigm Development

Chairman, Oyo State Football Association, HRM, Alakinyele of Akinyele,Oba James Odeniran has been re-elected Chairman of the Oyo State Football Association.


In an elective congress held on Wednesday, 31st May, 2023, which took place at the Ilaji Sports and Resort, Akanran, Ibadan,the Royal father who doubles as Member of Referees Committee won the election unopposed pooling 11 votes 



Other winners are the Vice Chairman of the Oyo FA, Comrade Wale Ayangbile. Ex International, Ambassador Mutiu Adepoju (the Headmaster), Mogaji Rotimi Ali, Coach John Ogunleye Kayode, Alhaji Azeez Amusa Adeniyi, Mr Michael Oladeni, and Alhaji Ganiyu Arolu.


At his post-election and acceptance speech, the former FIFA badged referee expressed appreciation for the love and support given to him by Board Members and the congressmen 

“ Let me appreciate you for your support. You have done well. Well, it won't be a business as usual as I assure you all that we’ll take football in the state to the greater heights but of course, I’ll need the support and cooperation of all,”.


Earlier, the representative of the NFF, Otunba Dele Ajayi described Oba Odeniran as a versatile administrator who manages the resources optimally.


“Oba Adeniran is well versed in football Administration. He was a FIFA badged referee without blemish.  It's not easy to be a FIFA badged and I believe he will do lot more for the state. He has the capacity to improve football administration in Oyo State,” the Ondo FA Boss said.


The full list of those who will steer the affairs of the Association for the next four years are hereunder:
