Rivers United Congratulates Chris Green on Rivers State Highest Honour Award



General Manager, Rivers United Football Club, Chief Dr. Okey Kpalukwu has on behalf of the Management, Technical Crew, Players and Staff congratulated two-time Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Hon. Barr. Chris Green on the Highest Honour Award for Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS).


At a Rivers State Award/Pre Inauguration Dinner held Saturday in Port Harcourt, Barr. Green bagged the award for his efforts and contributions to the development of sports in the state.

According to Chief Kpalukwu, the two-time Sports Commissioner has exemplified purposeful leadership in managing the affairs of sports in the state.

"This award stands alone proudly witnessing your hard work and dedication. This award makes you shining in midst of names and fame. Keep going in your life and achieve your all dreams with your hard work."

Chief Kpalukwu enjoined him to see this award as an opportunity to serve the state the more when called upon adding that he has proved over time to be a dedicated Rivers man who has the interest of the state.

"The greatest reward for a work well done is more work. Let me use this occasion to urge you not to relent when called to serve Rivers State as you have always done because your love and dedication for the state knows no bounds. Congratulation for your achievement.”
